This is the first certification for novice divers. In this course, students learn how to use scuba equipment, understand the basic principles of scuba diving, and perform open water dives under the supervision of an instructor.

Includes: International PADI certification, manual, equipment, certified instructor.

Not included: Transfers or accommodations, as otherwise specified.

Process:

2 theoretical classes in a classroom

2 practical classes in a pool or beach to familiarize themselves with the use of equipment and simulate open water exercises.

2-day open water dive, including 4 open water dives, typically conducted at depths between 10 and 18 meters:

Open Day

Tank 1: 45 minutes (buoyancy control exercises, basic skills).

Tank 2: 45 minutes (stress control).

2) Open Day

Tank 1: 45 minutes (controlled ascent, mask emptying).

Classes generally alternate theory with practice: Monday, theory class; Tuesday, practical class in the pool or beach; Wednesday, theory class; Thursday, practical class; Friday is free for transportation to San Carlos, Sonora, for open water practice on Saturday and Sunday.
